Dealing in secondhand ideas – the proposal for a ‘Troubled Lives Programme’

I’ve done a blog post for the Centre for Crime and Justice Studies critiquing the launch of a report calling for the ‘troubled families’ approach to be extended to include ‘troubled individuals’ who allegedly cost ‘the taxpayer’ £4.3 billion per year.

You can read the blog post here. It focuses on the role of think-tanks in these policy ‘debates’ and it’s fair to say that I’m not a big fan of the report….
